The situation

Our site’s subject is what a company tells machines about itself. So on 26 September we ran the same audit on ourselves that we would run for anyone else.

What it looked like

A working site. Pages served, the old domains redirected to the right pages rather than the homepage, and no crawler was blocked.

What was actually true

A machine reading us met a company with no named founder, no date on any article, no service described on its 60 service pages, and an organisation record naming an unrelated company in Bogotá as us. The search index still showed our old positioning: a Hungarian ecommerce agency with a WordPress and logo-design service list. On the audit’s nine technical checks we scored 1 pass, 2 partial and 6 fail.

How we found it

Every page fetched and its structured data read by script, pass or fail on what can be observed only. The two passes were not health: nothing was blocked because nobody had written anything. The half of the audit that asks for scores we left unscored, because those scales have no method behind them. Scoring them would be the defect we sell against.

What changed

On 29 September: the founder as a named person, a service description on every service page, and a published date on every article. The sitemap line was written the same day but never reached the live site. That file is regenerated on every build, so the edit stayed on one laptop. It went live on 30 September, once the build itself adds it.

Where it ended

Re-measured live on 30 September across all 168 pages: 4 pass, 2 partial, 3 fail. The organisation record still names the company in Bogotá, and that waits on one decision. FAQ and how-to fail because the content does not exist yet, not the markup.

What we did not claim

That the site is ready. Three rows still fail, and they are listed here.

Why it matters beyond this case

On a site whose subject is what a company tells machines about itself, our own state is either the product demonstrated or the product refuted.
