Statement Provenance Backing
Tags every material claim in a draft or deliverable with its evidence class and flags anything unsourced or over-confident before it ships.
01 What it does
Goes through the material statements in a draft or client-facing document and tags each one by how well it is backed — whether it rests on hard data, on something a stakeholder stated, on a reasonable inference, or on narrative framing.
It then reports the claims that are unsourced or stated more confidently than the evidence supports, so a document can be trusted before it goes out the door. It can deliver this as a separate review report or, on confirmation, annotate the document in place.
02 What it produces
A provenance report listing each material claim and its evidence class, with unsourced or over-confident statements called out.
Optionally, the same evidence tags applied directly in the target document when in-place tagging is confirmed.
03 Example
Before a strategy memo ships, it flags that a headline market-size figure is presented as fact but is actually an inference, prompting a fix or a softened claim.
