Performance Baseline

Establishes an honest, seasonality-aware baseline for a metric or channel before a campaign or change, so later measurement compares against a fair reference instead of a misleading recent number.

01 What it does

What it does

Establishes the performance baseline for a metric or channel before a campaign or change goes live, so that whatever happens next can be measured against an honest reference point rather than a single, possibly misleading, recent month.

It is seasonality-aware: it accounts for the natural rhythms of a metric so the baseline reflects what 'normal' really looks like, not an unusually high or low recent reading. When a connected analytics source is available it draws on the metric's history; when it isn't, it degrades gracefully to stated historical figures.

The result is a fixed reference that later measurement can be compared against, making any post-campaign change attributable and fair.

02 What it produces

Produces

A baseline record for the metric or channel: the honest, seasonality-adjusted reference figure and the basis it was derived from.

03 Example

Example

Before launching a paid campaign, a team wants to know what 'normal' traffic looks like for a channel. The skill pulls the metric's history, adjusts for the seasonal pattern so a quiet summer month isn't mistaken for a decline, and records a baseline the team can hold the campaign's results up against afterwards.
