Competitive Landscape Analysis
Maps a client's real competitive landscape and surfaces the positioning gaps they can own.
01 What it does
Identifies who a business actually competes with — not just the obvious names, but the real alternatives a customer weighs — and builds a structured profile for each one covering its domain, positioning, the products and services it genuinely overlaps on, its strengths, and its observable weaknesses.
Works per business unit, maintaining a living catalogue of competitors so the picture stays organised as the market shifts. It uses connected search-and-traffic intelligence (such as Semrush) when available and gracefully falls back to manual research when it is not, then synthesises the whole field into the open positioning gaps the client is best placed to claim.
02 What it produces
A profile file per competitor — domain, positioning, the products/services it competes on, strengths, observable weaknesses, and the pages and keywords worth watching.
A competitor catalogue organised by business unit.
A competitive-landscape synthesis that names the positioning gaps the client can own.
03 Example
For a B2B SaaS, it names the three vendors prospects actually shortlist against, profiles each, and points out the under-served buyer segment none of them speaks to clearly.
