Coach Account Manager
Coaches an account manager and red-teams a plan, brief, or deliverable before the client ever sees it.
01 What it does
Acts as a sparring partner for an account manager, pressure-testing a plan, brief, or deliverable before it leaves the building. It challenges the assumptions baked into the work, surfaces the blind spots, and asks what a sceptical client or a sharp competitor would say.
Rather than just listing problems, it turns each weakness into a coaching prompt — a concrete question or angle the owner can act on to strengthen the work and grow as a strategist.
It tests everything against the strategic frame already established for the client, so the critique is grounded in that business's positioning and audience, not generic best practice.
02 What it produces
A coaching / red-team report on the reviewed artifact
Named assumptions, blind spots, and the toughest likely objections
Each weakness reframed as an actionable coaching prompt
A critique anchored to the client's own positioning, audience, and beliefs
03 Example
Before a quarterly plan goes to a client, the skill stress-tests it: it flags that the growth target leans entirely on one unproven channel, asks how the team would answer if the client pushed back on attribution, and points out a competitor move the plan ignores — then hands the account manager a short list of questions to resolve before the meeting.
